What challenges did you have using Excel?

My name is Debbie Trenholm. I’m a business analyst, doing a lot of analytical work.

When I started working, over 20 years ago, I was the third person in the company to get PC, and we had Lotus 1-2-3. Then we got Excel.

I knew I had to learn macros on Excel. I managed, and I ended up liking Excel. As work progressed, I found there were things that people knew that and didn’t know and vice versa.

There is so much to Excel that I didn’t know that no one knew. And I found that I was wasting a lot of time.

Did you have any concerns about enrolling on the course?

I thought that maybe MyExcelOnline was just another fly by night operation. It took me a while to have the confidence to go in and commit.

You’re always growing with this program. You’re never going to go backwards with MyExcelOnline.

I think it was one of the best investments I’ve ever made on myself, besides school.

What was your Eureka moment?

When I was able to fix a report with many different formulas, it was really exciting. I was able to go through and identify the issues and correct them.

They were copying and pasting special, but they thought it was supposed to be there.

I went through, and I put in the formula that was supposed to be there, and it all fell into place.
